I found some good meat sales this morning. They must have known it was a special day.
[And then he finally goes over to his lovely partner, giving him a soft kiss to the corner of his lips.]
["Sharply dressed" in this case basically means he's dispensed with the usual looser clothes he wears outside in favour of the jeans he arrived in and a nice silky version of one of the form-fitting, high-collared and sleeveless tops he likes so much that he got from the Underground a while ago. It means the jewellery stands out all the more, and Momo drapes his hands around Yuki's shoulders, dipping in for an equally soft but more full-frontal kiss in return.]
You're so sweet, Yuki, my heart might beat out of my chest! [And then, after a moment, he gives a soft laugh.] This all reminds me a little of when we were starting out, honestly. It's nice.
[The part about needing to care if meat was on sale is probably the biggest reminder. And also Yuki not jokingly offering him to buy him a car and/or second home in the lead-up to his birthday. It's an echo of when things were simpler and it was just them against the world, and some part of him appreciates that.]
[With the kiss returned fully, Yuki takes a moment to enjoy it--and Momo--to the utmost.]
You liked it, then. [He sounds relieved, somehow.] I'm going to spoil you all day long, or you can make me do it all over again tomorrow.
[Even if he can't buy him a car or a house or a ton of fancy stuff, even if he can't so much as threaten it, he can treat Momo like a king. So he will.]
[Momo nods enthusiastically at the remark on whether he liked it, because he doesn't want to interrupt but he also wants Yuki to know that it's an emphatic yes. But the prospect of Yuki spoiling him is always enough to get him a little dramatic, and he makes an exaggerated little noise of indecision and clasps his cheeks.]
Oooh, Yuki, you know spoiling Momo-chan does bad things to me...my dark and greedy side is going to come out... [He's joking (maybe), but that side of Momo probably has particular things to be interested in this year, and his arms move down to loop around Yuki's waist in a casual, but possessive manner.]
You should be careful about offering me anything I want, you know? [His tone is innocent to the utmost, but that's arguably a worse sign than him being questionable about it would be.]
Wow, before breakfast even? Does that mean you want the full experience?
[He is not specifying a damn thing, this is clearly all part of the Yuki mystique.]
Or... does it mean I want the full experience? [A tilt of his head and a wink. But then he just smiles enigmatically.] Ahh, but it wouldn't be right to be so greedy on my Momo's birthday, so I'll start you off with a hearty breakfast before we get into any of that. Did you have plans today?
[Momo grins a little mysteriously himself, as if playing along with Yuki's refusal to actually specify anything, but the conversation moves on quickly enough that he doesn't have to be too cheeky. Yet.]
Nothing, really. Some of my work friends wanted to do dinner or something, but I said we'd have to push it back to tomorrow. [Since he figured Yuki would want sole Momo rights on his birthday, and Momo wasn't prepared to throw a party for himself, especially not four days after another large party that had fed his big party appetite pretty well for the week.] If you're talking about "the full experience" already, though, does that mean you're going to cook in just an apron or are we postponing that until after breakfast too?
[He's joking, but hey, he might as well shoot his shot at probably dying of nosebleed-related blood loss before they've even finished breakfast.]
[Grease burns are NOT sexy, Momo. But Yuki is sexy, so maybe he can find a compromise between "just an apron" and normal clothing. An idea hits him, and he sighs as though long-suffering but enchanted.]
I'll see what I can do.
[Then he traces Momo's lips with his thumb fondly. One finger slides under Momo's chin, and Yuki offers another kiss, slow and deliberate.]
Seriously, I meant I'll do anything... that won't get me gravely injured. Pretend I'm a wish-granting fairy. Otherwise, I'll just do what I want.
[Clearly Momo just needs to buy him a more grease-resistant apron for his birthday. But another kiss is a plenty good distraction for the moment, even though Momo ruins the slow and deliberate nature a bit by nibbling Yuki's lip a little in return. He's in a bit of a playful mood, and he can't help but laugh a little as his fingers lace through one side of Yuki's hair.]
Having so many options makes it so hard to decide, though. How am I meant to pick just a few things to have my Yuki do for me? [His fingers are still in Yuki's hair, clinging a little for the moment, but his tone shifts even more to the side of joking.] Ah, maybe I should resurrect that request for you to magician yourself into being my seat? But then you couldn't cook...
[They're about three minutes into this conversation and things have already hit human furniture. At least he gives a cheeky little wink that says it's probably not a genuine request. Maybe.
He'll stick a pin in it for later in the day and see how he feels then.]
[Momo makes a very put-upon face when Yuki decides to sympathise with him for a second, because indeed it is the hardest decision of his life. Definitely. No joke intended at all.
Still, he "concedes" with a few gentle pets to the side of Yuki's head.] Oh well, I guess I have to think about where I'd sit anyway, otherwise I might break you in half...
[Is Yuki ever going to live down being built like a stick, no he's not. But for now, Momo puffs his cheeks out a bit at having to choose Again and runs his hands up the sides of Yuki's face, cupping his cheeks in turn.]
You can't initiate all this kissing and then tell me I have to stop kissing you to get breakfast, that's cruel! [And yet...yeah, he's going to give Yuki another kiss after that, firm and a bit domineering with the grip on his face, that he breaks reluctantly after a few long seconds.]
...But I guess you can make up for it later. [He is free to make breakfast, though Momo's still kind of holding onto his face. Just not strongly enough that he can't very much be removed.]
