well, all resources go to combating the monsters now. and because the monsters have destroyed a lot of the world it's difficult to travel. so even if there are resources in a neighboring town they might not be important enough to risk your life over. my city is more isolated from the rest of the world than it was say twenty years ago

That's way too young...I wish things weren't like that for you, but it seems like more people here come from worlds like that than not (´-﹏-`；) I guess maybe they thought it would be easier to adjust to here
